900,000th Commercial Vehicle Rolls Out from Tata Motors Lucknow Plant

Lucknow- Tata Motors Limited., a commercial vehicle manufacturer, announced celebrated the rollout of its 900,000th vehicle from its Lucknow facility with a flag-off ceremony attended by Mr. Durga Shanker Mishra, Chief Secretary of Uttar Pradesh, and senior Tata Motors officers.

Tata Motors' Lucknow facility spans 600 acres and is recognized for sustainable manufacturing, being a water-positive plant certified by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). It features a 6MW solar power plant, reducing carbon emissions. Equipped with modern stations like robotic paint booths and body-in-white shops, it has produced various commercial vehicles since 1992, including electric buses.

Lucknow facility, one-third of the technical workforce comprises women, who actively contribute across all operational shifts in producing trucks and buses. The company emphasizes women's development through specialized training, workshops, and hands-on industry experience. With over 22% of new recruits being women this year, Tata Motors champions gender inclusivity and women's empowerment in manufacturing.
