Cologne, Germany- Deutz AG., will be showcasing its innovative developments in the fields of construction and material handling at the Intermat construction Trade Fair in Paris from April 24 to 27, 2024. With the motto "We ensure the world keeps moving," we offer diesel, electric, and hydrogen technologies to provide the best solutions for our customers.

In Paris, DEUTZ is showcasing the TCD 3.9 engine, a powerful option in the <4 liter class with up to 130 kW. Known for its reliability, versatility, and performance, it's suitable for various industrial applications. Plus, its modern design allows for variants compatible with lower-emission fuels like gas and hydrogen.

Deutz highlights the need for clean and efficient combustion engines in construction machinery for a seamless transition to future technologies. At the fair, visitors can explore the Classic portfolio, featuring engines from TCD 2.9 to T(T)CD 7.7, all meeting strict emissions standards and approved for HVO biofuel use.

Intermat focuses on sustainable solutions in the construction industry. Deutz introduces an electric excavator paired with the Deutz PowerTree mobile fast charging system, independent of local network infrastructure. The PowerTree delivers up to 150 kW charging power with an output voltage of 800 volts, enabling construction machines to charge in just 20 minutes.

Dr. Ing. Markus Müller, Chief Technology and Sales Officer at Deutz AG. Said that, “With our different drive systems, we offer different paths to emission-free mobility. Deutz electric drives already enable a wide range of emission-free construction site applications – and the PowerTree is the optimal solution when there is a lack of charging infrastructure,”.

DEUTZ demonstrates system expertise by converting an excavator from internal combustion to the 360-volt drive system (E360), featuring lithium-ion batteries with 40 kW output power (80 kW peak). The E360 system can be quickly charged via DC interface, aiming for 30-minute recharge. Additionally, DEUTZ showcases its TCG 7.8 H2 hydrogen combustion engine, set for series production by year-end, with initial orders from China for 100 H2 gensets. As part of its corporate strategy, Deutz expands its service business globally, offering engine reconditioning and environmentally friendly Deutz Xchange replacement engines and parts, even for discontinued series.

At Intermat, Deutz introduces a cloud-based platform aiming to streamline machine optimization through real-time data collection. Direct data access helps prevent errors and enhances operational efficiency.

Mr. Darko Kostic, President Deutz France, said that, “Our service offering does not just include the maintenance of our engines. The integrated telematics solution Deutz Fusion Hub offers a digital service for operational optimization this reduces non-productive periods and thus saves our customers money and time.”
