Stellantis and Leapmotor team up to launch EVs globally, starting with T03 and C10 models in Europe.

Stellantis and Leapmotor Joint Venture for EV Expansion

Netherlands/ Hangzhou- Stellantis N.V., and Zhejiang Leapmotor Technology Co., Ltd., and automobile manufacturer, have finalized their joint venture, forming Leapmotor International B.V. in Amsterdam. The management team Led by CEO Tianshu Xin, formerly of Stellantis China, they're preparing to launch the T03 and C10 in Europe, then expanding to other regions by late 2024.

In October 2023, Stellantis invested around €1.5 billion for a 21% stake in Leapmotor, a top 3 Chinese EV startup. This led to the formation of Leapmotor International, granting exclusive rights for export, sale, and manufacturing outside China. The partnership aims to boost Leapmotor's sales in China and accelerate sales with Stellantis' support.

Leapmotor's C10, its first product, with design and safety standards. Built on the LEAP3.0 technology architecture, it advanced features like central integrated electronics, cell-to-chassis technology (CTC), and an intelligent cockpit. As a D-segment vehicle, it offers a premium ride experience, 420 km WLTP range, and a 5-star E-NCAP rating. Recognized for its design, it won both the 2023 International CMF Design Award and the 2024 Gold Award from the French Design Awards.

The Leapmotor T03 is a small five-door, A-segment urban boutique commuter car with B-segment interior space. It is not only stylish but also a pleasure to drive and features 265 km WLTP range. It ranked No. 1 in the JD Power Initial Quality Study in the small BEV segment.
