ZF provides fleet operators with a new generation of sophisticated and durable telematics hardware with the ZF VCU Pro for larger vehicles.
Date: September 12, 2023Friedrichshafen,Germany-ZF Group's., digital fleet management system ZF Rescue Connect will be installed in more than 260 vehicles belonging to the Berlin Fire Department. One of the biggest fire departments in Europe just granted ZF the contract in a public tender. ZF Rescue Connect connects the Berlin Fire Department to the vehicles digitally and delivers all crucial telemetry and deployment status data in real time.
The Berlin Fire Department is equipping 263 vehicles with ZF transmitters and receivers for the transfer of telemetry and position data as part of the digitization of its vehicle fleet. The ZF OBD Unit (on-board diagnostics) will be installed in 210 ambulances and 50 emergency vehicles, and three additional fire trucks will receive the more potent ZF VCU Pro on a trial basis. By the end of September, all vehicles will have been retrofitted.
