Manitoba, Canada - Bushel Plus Ltd., an harvest optimization technology company, has announced the launch of its new X9 Split Frame MAD Concaves, developed specifically for John Deere X9 Series combines. The new concave system is designed to improve throughput, reduce dockage, and simplify crop transitions, delivering higher efficiency and safer operation during harvest.
The X9 Split Frame MAD Concaves introduce a modular split-frame design that replaces traditional full-width concaves. A fixed structural frame remains installed in the combine, while lightweight interchangeable inserts can be easily slid into place and locked. Each insert is crop-specific and precisely engineered to maintain proper spacing and alignment for optimal threshing and separation.
According to Marcel Kringe, Founder and CEO of Bushel Plus, the system functions as a permanent base frame with smaller inserts tailored for crops such as wheat, barley, corn, and soybeans. This design reduces concave changeover time from several hours to approximately 15 minutes, eliminating the need for re-leveling. The faster changeovers reduce downtime, lower operator fatigue, and improve safety during maintenance.
Engineered for precision threshing, the X9 Split Frame MAD Concaves deliver cleaner grain and lower losses by reducing cracked kernels and foreign material. Proven in North American field tests, they support higher harvest speeds while maintaining grain quality and reducing fuel use.
Built from AR-200 abrasion-resistant steel, the concaves offer long-term durability and are fully compatible with Classic X9 MAD Concave models, allowing easy integration while protecting existing equipment investments.
With this launch, Bushel Plus continues to advance combine efficiency and grain quality for high-capacity harvesting operations using John Deere X9 Series combines.
