Seoul, South Korea- Hyundai Motor Company., all-new NEXO, its next-generation fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV), is set to raise the bar for zero-emission mobility ahead of its global launch in early 2026. With a more powerful fuel cell system, upgraded power electronics and a significantly longer driving range, the new NEXO aims to deliver everyday usability that rivals conventional vehicles.

A newly developed powertrain boosts total system output to 190 kW, enabling a 150 kW motor and cutting 0–100 km/h acceleration to 7.8 seconds. The projected WLTP range of up to 826 km, combined with hydrogen refueling in around five minutes and increased tank capacity, makes long-distance travel both quick and convenient. Improved low-temperature operability and a new anti-freezing “Wake Up” function ensure reliable performance in cold climates.

Driving dynamics and refinement are enhanced through aerodynamic improvements, advanced noise-reduction features such as Active Noise Control-Road, and Hyundai’s e-Handling system, which uses motor torque control to improve grip and stability. The Smart Regenerative System automatically adjusts regen based on navigation and traffic, while European models gain towing capability of up to 1,000 kg, making NEXO more versatile than ever.

Inside, the NEXO offers a high-tech, user-centric cabin with a column-type shift lever, dual 12.3-inch curved displays, OTA-capable ccNC infotainment, B&O premium audio, head-up display, Digital Key 2, and vehicle-to-load functionality for powering external devices. Optional digital center and side mirrors improve visibility and integrate with safety systems, while features like a built-in dash cam, fingerprint authentication, Rear Occupant Alert and a full suite of ADAS technologies further elevate convenience and safety.

The new model debuts Hyundai’s bold “Art of Steel” design language, combining strong, sculpted surfaces with FCEV-specific HTWO lighting signatures and a palette of six distinctive exterior colors. A larger, more practical interior with up to 993 liters of rear cargo space, Premium Relaxation Seats and abundant smart storage is finished with eco-friendly, bio-based and recycled materials. Building on nearly three decades of fuel cell development and its HTWO hydrogen brand, the all-new NEXO underscores Hyundai Motor’s leadership in hydrogen mobility and its broader electrification strategy spanning FCEVs, BEVs and hybrids.
