Guangxi, China - LiuGong Machinery Co., Ltd., a construction equipment manufacturer, has introduced its battery-electric construction and material-handling equipment portfolio in the United States and Canada, expanding zero-emission machinery options for construction, forestry and logistics operators.
The initial North American lineup includes the 856HE battery-electric wheel loader, 820TE electric loader, 924FE electric excavator and LRSE4531E fully electric 45-ton reach stacker.
LiuGong said it has more than 15 years of experience developing battery-electric equipment and has deployed over 60,000 electric machines worldwide. The company plans to use this operating experience to support customers entering the North American electric-equipment market.
According to LiuGong, its electric machines can reduce operating costs by approximately 40% to 50% compared with similar diesel-powered equipment. The savings are expected to come mainly from lower energy use, reduced maintenance requirements and fewer replacement parts.
The company also plans to introduce battery-powered forklifts, warehouse equipment and material handlers in North America over the next 18 months. The expansion forms part of LiuGong’s broader strategy to strengthen its regional presence through 2027.
