Mumbai - Tata Motors., an automobile company, is preparing to make a comeback in the two-wheeler market with the launch of a new commuter motorcycle — the Tata Classic 110. The model is expected to debut in 2026 and is being developed to meet the needs of everyday riders across India.
The Tata Classic 110 will be powered by a 110cc petrol engine designed to deliver impressive fuel efficiency and smooth on-road performance. The motorcycle will cater primarily to middle-class and daily commuters, combining practicality with a touch of retro style.
The design language of the Tata Classic 110 will follow a classic theme, featuring a round headlamp, metallic body, and sculpted fuel tank — giving it a timeless yet modern appeal. Despite its nostalgic look, the bike will come equipped with several modern features, including LED headlamps and taillamps, a digital-analog instrument cluster, USB charging port, tubeless tires, and telescopic suspension for enhanced comfort and convenience.
The company aims for the bike to deliver an exceptional mileage range of around 70–80 km per liter, making it suitable for both urban commuters and rural riders. Production is likely to take place at Tata’s Pune facility, under the “Made in India” initiative, emphasizing local manufacturing and affordability.
With the introduction of the Tata Classic 110, Tata Motors is set to re-enter the commuter motorcycle segment after several years. The model is expected to be officially unveiled between April and June 2026, potentially at a major auto expo or a dedicated launch event.
Once launched, the Tata Classic 110 could emerge as a strong contender in India’s commuter bike market, competing with popular models such as the Hero Splendor, Bajaj Platina, and TVS Raider, combining Tata’s trusted engineering with modern-day performance and style.
