PPK Mining Boosts India Underground Mining

India – PPK Mining Equipment Pty Ltd, Australia, and Mining India are strengthening their collaboration to provide advanced underground mining equipment aimed at improving safety, productivity, reliability and operational efficiency across Indian mines.

Under the partnership, Mining India serves as the Exclusive Authorized Distributor of PPK Mining Equipment in India, responsible for the promotion, supply and support of PPK equipment and genuine spare parts in the Indian market.

PPK Mining Equipment specialises in underground mining machinery, particularly for coal mining applications. Its product portfolio includes the DRIFTRUNNER Underground Personnel Carrier, COALTRAM MUV, COALTRAM Low Height and JUG-A-0 LHD, developed for demanding underground operating conditions.

The DRIFTRUNNER has already been deployed in Indian underground coal mines, providing customers with a field-tested personnel transportation solution.

Through the collaboration, PPK’s Australian engineering and manufacturing expertise is combined with Mining India’s local market knowledge, customer network and after-sales support capabilities.

The companies aim to provide high-quality, DGMS-approved underground mining equipment, backed by local technical and commercial assistance. Their long-term objective is to become a trusted technology and equipment partner for India’s underground mining sector.
