Tokyo, Japan – Komatsu Ltd., a heavy equipment manufacturer, has strengthened its collaboration with engcon AB., an excavator attachments manufacturer, to deliver improved tiltrotator integration on Komatsu Dash 12 series excavators, aiming to boost efficiency, precision, and ease of use for operators while reducing installation complexity and overall costs for customers.
Under the expanded partnership, engcon’s DC3 tiltrotators will be seamlessly integrated with Komatsu’s advanced machine systems. The solution enables superior precision and highly responsive control, allowing operators to fully utilize Komatsu’s Intelligent Machine Control (iMC) 3.0. This includes semi-automatic control of bucket rotation and tilt, as well as posture hold control, which automatically maintains the attachment’s orientation during operation.
The integrated system also enhances connectivity and support through engcon’s mobile app, remote support capabilities, and smart tool programs, giving operators greater control and real-time access to machine and attachment functions.
Mr. Sam Ryan, Global OEM Manager at engcon, said, “This collaboration marks a significant step toward smarter, more efficient excavation solutions, combining Komatsu’s advanced machine control with engcon’s tiltrotator technology.”
Mr. Rob Macintyre, Product Manager at Komatsu Europe, said, “Komatsu is committed to enabling the seamless integration of attachments that offer significant customer value. Through our partnership with engcon, we are advancing our commitment to provide integrated solutions that help customers work more productively and flexibly.”
The partnership underscores both companies’ focus on delivering intelligent, integrated solutions that enhance operator performance and maximize the capabilities of modern excavators.
