Helsinki, Finland – Metso., a minerals processing and metals refining industry, has launched Data-driven Performance Services, a new digital offering aimed at improving equipment reliability, safety, and productivity in the global mining sector. The solution combines real-time data, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled diagnostics to resolve issues faster and keep operations running at peak efficiency.

Covering the entire minerals processing flowsheet, the services integrate intelligent thresholds with AI-powered monitoring, reducing the need for onsite inspections while ensuring quicker troubleshooting. Support is backed by Metso’s expanding global network of experts to provide consistent, responsive service delivery.

Mr. Arttu-Matti Matinlauri, Vice President of Minerals Digital at Metso, said, “Data-driven Performance Services enable mining operations to shift from reactive to predictive, insight-driven decision making. In customer cases, the solutions have cut issue resolution times by up to 50%. On average, we identify potential risks every 1,400 hours of operation, saving over eight hours of production per case.”

The offering is structured into two service levels. Data-driven Technical Support delivers rapid, fact-based troubleshooting through live equipment data, improving first-time fix rates and reducing production losses. Data-driven Condition Monitoring provides continuous remote monitoring with AI-powered analytics, enabling early detection of equipment failures, reducing downtime, and enhancing safety. When paired with Metso’s Life Cycle Services, corrective actions can be executed efficiently on site.

Metso emphasized that the services draw on decades of OEM expertise combined with operational insights from connected equipment and close collaboration with customers. The approach supports mining companies in advancing across five critical areas: accurate measurement, process stability, equipment availability, productivity, and long-term optimization.
