Metso Launches AI-Powered Mining Performance Services

Helsinki, Finland – Metso., a minerals processing and metals refining industry, has launched Data-driven Performance Services, a new digital offering aimed at improving equipment reliability, safety, and productivity in the global mining sector. The solution combines real-time data, advanced analytics, and AI-enabled diagnostics to resolve issues faster and keep operations running at peak efficiency.

Covering the entire minerals processing flowsheet, the services integrate intelligent thresholds with AI-powered monitoring, reducing the need for onsite inspections while ensuring quicker troubleshooting. Support is backed by Metso’s expanding global network of experts to provide consistent, responsive service delivery.

Mr. Arttu-Matti Matinlauri, Vice President of Minerals Digital at Metso, said, “Data-driven Performance Services enable mining operations to shift from reactive to predictive, insight-driven decision making. The offering is structured into two service levels. Data-driven Technical Support delivers rapid, fact-based troubleshooting through live equipment data, improving first-time fix rates and reducing production losses. Data-driven Condition Monitoring provides continuous remote monitoring with AI-powered analytics, enabling early detection of equipment failures, reducing downtime, and enhancing safety. When paired with Metso’s Life Cycle Services, corrective actions can be executed efficiently on site.
