Ohio, USA – SharpGrade., an attachments manufacturer, has announced an update to its popular G116 grader blade, now featuring a hydraulic retracting walking beam-style front wheel assembly. This upgrade allows operators to raise or lower the front wheels directly from the joystick, enabling grading closer to walls, curbs, foundations, and other obstacles without leaving the cab.
The innovation enhances speed, precision, and convenience, allowing operators to straddle windrows and navigate challenging sites efficiently. The G116 is designed for large-frame skid steers and compact-track loaders in the 75–100 HP range, combining the power of a full-size grader with the agility of a loader.
At the core of the G116 is SharpGrade’s patented QuadRod linkage system with Zero Cross Coupling, featuring sealed, shielded, and lifetime-lubricated components that require no maintenance. Additional features include an adjustable hitch plate, underslung walking beam, dual reversible blades, hydraulic side wings, and compatibility with QuadGrade 2D and all 3D machine control systems for precise grading down to 1mm.
The G116 enables fine grading with ±3mm accuracy, up to ten times faster than traditional bucket methods. Its plug-and-play design connects quickly to any large-frame skid steer or CTL, and high-quality hydraulics include built-in relief valves and manual overrides for reliability in tough conditions.
Mr. Rodney Sharp, SharpGrade president, said, “The G116 has long been a favourite among contractors running large-frame loaders. After the award-winning launch of the G109, customers asked for the same hydraulic front wheel feature in a larger machine. We listened — and delivered.”
The updated G116 offers faster, cleaner, and more precise grading, making it ideal for applications such as road construction, site prep, heavy stonework, and 3D-controlled fine grading.
