Noida / Pithampur/Chennai - Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd (MSSL) of Noida, a Samvardhana Motherson Group (SMG), is planning to open three new plants with an undisclosed investment involves 2 plants in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh and one plant in Chennai, Tamil Nadu by the first quarter of FY20 in India.
In Pithampur, these two plants are additional to the existing Pithampur I- MSSL wiring harness division, Pithampur II plant will manufacture wires and it will be operational by Dec 2018, Pithampur III plant will manufacture wiring harness and it will be operational by Apr 2019.
Existing plant of SMR Automotive Systems India Limited of Chennai, manufacturer0 Exterior & Interior Mirror, Mirror parts (Actuators) will be relocated to the new plant, it will be operational by the first quarter of fiscal 2020.
Mr. GN Gauba, CFO, Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd said "The company is planning three new plants in India by financial year 2020. We will be coming up with two new plants in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh and one plant in Chennai,"
