Lexus India Begins Deliveries of LX 500d Luxury SUV

Delhi- Lexus India Limited., a subsidiary of Toyota's luxury car brand, has officially commenced deliveries of the LX 500d, its flagship luxury SUV, marking a major milestone for the brand in the ultra-luxury SUV space. With its commanding road presence, sophisticated design, and advanced off-road capabilities, the LX 500d has already garnered strong interest from Indian consumers.

The SUV is powered by a 3.3-liter V6 twin-turbocharged diesel engine, delivering 304 horsepower and an impressive 700 Nm of torque. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 210 km/h. Paired with an automatic transmission, the LX 500d ensures smooth power delivery across a variety of driving conditions.

Lexus offers the LX 500d in two distinctive variants: Urban, tailored for refined city driving, and the newly introduced Overtrail, designed for adventure seekers who demand rugged performance. Both variants offer the perfect blend of performance and luxury.

Built on a robust chassis, the SUV features ventilated disc brakes, double wishbone front suspension, and multi-link rear suspension, ensuring excellent handling and ride comfort. With a ground clearance of 210 mm and gradeability suited for multi-terrain use, it’s ready for both urban and off-road adventures.

Inside, the LX 500d offers unmatched comfort with features like 10-way power driver’s seat, 8-way power passenger seat, ventilated and heated seats in both rows, and a spacious cabin that accommodates five passengers. The 4-zone climate control, ambient lighting, and cool box enhance the in-cabin experience for long-distance travel.

Technology-wise, the SUV is equipped with Lexus Safety System+ 3.0, Lexus Connect telematics, a 12.3-inch EMV display, and a 7-inch secondary display, along with a color head-up display. The fingerprint-authenticated push-button start, multi-terrain monitor, drive mode select, and smart entry system add to the intelligent convenience.

For entertainment, Lexus has included a Mark Levinson Reference Surround Sound System with 25 speakers, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto, and a rear seat entertainment system featuring dual 11.6-inch displays, HDMI inputs, and wireless remotes. Connectivity is enhanced through 5 USB ports, wireless charging, and Bluetooth integration.

Safety is a top priority with features such as blind spot monitor, parking support brake, multi-terrain ABS with EBD, traction and stability control, crawl control, and hill-start assist. The LX 500d also includes an extensive airbag system front, knee, side, and curtain airbags—as well as ISOFIX child seat mounts and pretensioners on seatbelts.

Externally, the LX 500d boasts 3-eye LED headlamps, LED fog lamps and DRLs, a power tilt/slide moonroof, and side steps with LED illumination. Acoustic and UV-cut glass enhances comfort, while roof rails, towing hitch, and a pintle hook add functional versatility. Customers can choose between 20-inch aluminum and 22-inch forged aluminum wheels.
