Texas, United States- Peterbilt Motors Company, an American truck manufacturer, has announced two key leadership appointments. Mr. Jake Montero has been named General Manager of Peterbilt and Vice President of PACCAR, while Mr. Erik Johnson has been appointed Assistant General Manager of Sales and Marketing.
Both are 19-year PACCAR veterans. Montero previously served as Peterbilt’s Assistant General Manager of Sales and Marketing, and Johnson most recently held the role of Plant Manager at Peterbilt’s Denton facility. Johnson also holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Washington.
Mr. Jake Montero, Peterbilt general manager and PACCAR vice president, said, “I am excited to lead Peterbilt during this pivotal time in the trucking industry with increased opportunities to leverage advanced technology and innovation to deliver first-class vehicle solutions to our customers.”
Montero holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Washington State University and a Master of Business Administration degree from Seattle University. He also completed the Stanford Executive Program from Stanford University in 2024. Jake Montero will be based in Denton, Texas at the Peterbilt Motors Company headquarters.
