Moline, Illinois - Deere and Company., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has unveiled six new 8R and 8RX tractor models, expanding its 8-Series lineup with new 440 hp, 490 hp and 540 hp options. The updated range builds on more than 30 years of 8-Series development and is designed to deliver higher productivity, improved maneuverability and greater versatility for large-scale farming operations.
Powered by the JD14 engine, the tractors feature an upgraded Intelligent Power Management system with optional peak power IPM, enabling up to 634 horsepower for demanding hydraulic, PTO and transport applications. An optional engine brake enhances control during heavy hauling and transport operations.
The models are autonomy-ready and equipped with the G5Plus display, supporting precision agriculture technologies such as AutoTrac Turn Automation, AutoTrac Implement Guidance and AutoPath. Machine Sync capability and optional JDLink Boost connectivity further enhance field efficiency and data management.
Hydraulic performance and lifting capacity have been increased, with a rear hitch lift capacity of 24,000 pounds (10,900 kg) and a 1,300 rpm rear PTO option. Improved Independent Link Suspension, a tighter turning radius and Reactive Command Steering enhance maneuverability, while the Electric Variable Transmission enables electric power offboarding through a single plug connection.
Serviceability has also been improved with eye-level fluid sight gauges, ground-level access to service points and an extended 2,000-hour hydraulic oil interval. With higher horsepower, advanced technology integration and operator-focused enhancements, the upgraded 8-Series strengthens John Deere’s position in the high-horsepower tractor segment.
