San Antonio, Texas – AGCO Corporation., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has announced updates to the Massey Ferguson 9S Series Tractor, including the addition of Tractor Implement Management (TIM). The updates were unveiled during the Commodity Classic and aim to improve efficiency and reduce operating costs for farmers.
TIM enables compatible implements to communicate directly with the tractor and automatically manage key functions such as speed and performance settings. By aligning tractor operation with implement requirements, the system helps reduce operator variability and ensures more consistent field performance.
During field trials using the MF 9S with the Hesston by Massey Ferguson LB 2200 Series Baler, TIM reduced flake variability from around 13 flakes per bale to approximately three to four flakes. The system also increased bale density by about 80 pounds per bale while maintaining consistent bale size, improving transport efficiency and reducing fuel and labor costs.
The MF 9S Series is engineered to deliver up to 15% fuel savings compared to tractors in its class. It also features a dual-circuit cooling system that improves thermal management efficiency by up to 70%, helping maintain stable performance during heavy workloads.
All 2026 model year MF 9S tractors will include a complimentary three-year subscription to PTx FarmEngage, enabling farmers to track machines, monitor operations and manage fleet data from a single platform.
