Chennai- Montra Electric Last-Mile Mobility has achieved a major milestone by dispatching 175 units of its electric three-wheeler, the ‘Super Auto,’ by rail from Tada in Andhra Pradesh to Siliguri in West Bengal. This marks the company’s first bulk railway shipment and ensures dealerships across North and North-East India are well-stocked to meet the festive season demand.

The shift from road to rail demonstrates Montra Electric’s strong commitment to sustainability and smarter logistics. Transporting the same load by road would have required 17–18 truck trips and up to two weeks of transit. Instead, the consolidated rail movement cut delivery time by more than 60%, completing the journey in under five days. The move also reduced logistics costs by up to 30%, eliminated customer waiting time during the festive rush, helped ease highway congestion, and prevented an estimated 15,800 tonnes of CO₂ emissions. To support faster distribution, a dedicated warehouse facility in Siliguri has been designated to hold the vehicles before they are sent to dealerships, ensuring immediate availability for customers.

Mr. Deependra Sharma, CEO, Montra Electric Last-Mile Mobility, said, “At Montra Electric, sustainability is not just about our products, it is embedded in the way we work and the choices we make. By adopting smarter logistics, we have been able to significantly reduce lead times, ensuring vehicles reach our customers faster while lowering our environmental footprint. This initiative reflects our commitment to clean mobility, operational excellence, and delivering greater value to our customers in a greener, smarter, and more efficient way.”

The Montra Electric Super Auto stands out in the last-mile mobility segment with its strong blend of performance, efficiency, and durability. Offering a top speed of 55 km/h, a peak power of 10 kW, and a customer-assured true range of 160 km, it provides a robust and reliable driving experience. Designed with a 100% metal body and a sturdy Boron steel chassis, the Super Auto ensures enhanced safety, while features such as LED headlights, radial tubeless tyres, and spacious interiors deliver greater comfort for both passengers and drivers. Currently retailed through more than 110 exclusive showrooms across India, the network is expanding rapidly to meet growing demand.
