Las Vegas, USA - Link-Belt Excavators (LBX)., a subsidiary of Sumitomo Heavy Industries and a heavy construction equipment manufacturer, introduced new equipment and technology during its exhibit at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, welcoming visitors to Booth F35043 with the debut of two new excavator models and an expanded focus on digital jobsite solutions.
At the event, the company unveiled the new 245 X4S and 80 X4 excavators, both designed to improve fuel efficiency, operator comfort and machine performance while integrating advanced smart technologies. The introductions form part of Link-Belt’s broader strategy to deliver productivity and efficiency improvements for contractors operating in demanding construction environments.
Reflecting the company’s “Here by Hard Work” theme, Link-Belt presented its largest ConExpo exhibit to date, including a dedicated technology area focused on connectivity, artificial intelligence and operator training. The exhibit also featured excavator simulators that allowed visitors to experience machine operation and emerging jobsite technologies in a hands-on environment.
Link-Belt also expanded its Precision Grade 3D offering, providing factory-ready solutions that simplify the installation of advanced machine guidance systems. The platform supports 3D solutions from Trimble and Topcon, giving customers flexibility in choosing their preferred grade control technology while enabling more precise excavation and grading operations.
In addition to the new equipment and technology displays, the company hosted several interactive experiences for attendees. The popular Excavator Showdown returned for its eighth appearance at ConExpo, allowing operators to test their precision and speed using a Link-Belt 220 X4S excavator. Competitors vied for the fastest time of the show, with the grand prize including a $5,000 vacation and a championship belt, while daily winners received cash awards.
Link-Belt also organized a charity initiative featuring the Pink-Belt excavator, a 15.2-ton Link-Belt 145 X4 machine that traveled across the United States to raise awareness for breast cancer. The machine was scheduled to be sold during a live charity auction, with proceeds benefiting the National Breast Cancer Foundation and the Yes, Mamm! program supported by CHI Saint Joseph Health Foundations.
Through the combination of new equipment launches, digital technology demonstrations and interactive experiences, Link-Belt used its ConExpo presence to highlight innovations designed to make construction jobsites safer, more efficient and more productive.
