Poissy, France- Citroën., has unveiled ELO, a concept car that marks a new phase in the brand’s future mobility strategy. Following the OLI concept presented in 2022, ELO acts as a research platform exploring ideas that will influence Citroën’s next-generation vehicles. The concept reflects the brand’s long-standing focus on accessibility, innovation, and everyday usability.
ELO is designed to respond to changing lifestyles by offering a compact, electric vehicle with a strong emphasis on space efficiency, modularity, and functionality. Built on a 100% electric architecture, it reinterprets the traditional MPV and leisure vehicle format, enabling a compact exterior with a highly flexible and spacious interior. Citroën describes ELO as a “tiny house on wheels,” combining practical design with responsible mobility.
Measuring 4.10 metres in length, ELO is suited for urban environments while also supporting longer journeys and leisure use. Its interior can accommodate up to six occupants and is designed to adapt to multiple daily scenarios such as commuting, family travel, leisure activities, remote working, and short getaways. The layout focuses on ease of use, modular seating, and efficient space management.
The standard configuration features four seats and a centrally positioned driver’s seat, offering enhanced visibility through a wide 180-degree windscreen. The driver’s seat can rotate for interaction or work, while two additional seats can be deployed when needed. The interior can also be reconfigured into a sleeping area, workspace, or entertainment zone, highlighting the vehicle’s multi-purpose nature.
ELO was developed in collaboration with Decathlon, which contributed expertise in outdoor-oriented design and materials, and Goodyear, which developed intelligent tyres suited for outdoor and electric vehicle use.
According to Xavier Chardon, ELO represents Citroën’s current thinking around future mobility, combining creativity, responsibility, and practical innovation. Pierre Leclercq noted that the concept demonstrates how design can integrate style and function while offering adaptable solutions for modern living.
With ELO, Citroën outlines a future mobility approach focused on flexibility, electric-first design, and user-oriented functionality.
