Germany- ADS-TEC Energy., has deployed its ChargePost battery-buffered fast charging system at the Baden-Württemberg police station. The system allows electric vehicles to charge at high speed, even in areas with limited grid capacity, making it ideal for critical infrastructure and emergency services.
Thomas Strobl, Deputy Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg, “said that about 12% of the police fleet is already electric, and this project will help test EVs under real motorway conditions while preparing the force for future-ready policing.”
Thomas Speidel, CEO of ADS-TEC Energy, emphasized the importance of reliable charging infrastructure for emergency vehicles. He added that the system is developed and manufactured in Germany, meeting high standards for security, operational safety, and resilience, and can be used 24/7 without interruptions.
The ChargePost system features 201 kWh of integrated battery storage and can provide up to 300 kW of charging power, or 2 × 150 kW when charging two vehicles at the same time. It eliminates the need for expensive grid upgrades, is compact in design, and uses intelligent control technology to ensure smooth, reliable, and resilient operations in demanding environments.
