Racine, Wisconsin – Case IH., a brand of CNH Industrial and a farm machinery manufacturer, has introduced its latest Optum tractor series in North America, unveiling the Optum 360, 390 and 440 models at the Commodity Classic. The tractors deliver 360 to 435 hp and can reach road speeds of up to 37 mph, while offering a tight turning radius for row-crop operations.
The new Optum tractors feature an independent front-axle suspension system designed to improve ride comfort and maintain traction in both field and transport operations. They are equipped with a front hitch capable of lifting 12,800 pounds and a rear three-point hitch with a capacity of 25,900 pounds, enabling the tractors to support a wide range of applications including tillage, planting, baling and hauling.
Power comes from an updated 8.7-liter Cursor 9 engine paired with a 4x2 CVXDrive continuously variable transmission that includes four mechanical ranges to improve efficiency and ease of operation. Hydraulic options include a standard 58-gallon-per-minute pump or an optional twin-flow system delivering up to 95 gallons per minute for high-demand implements.
Inside the cab, operators access automation and machine controls through the Pro 1200 display, while features such as integrated tire inflation control, LED work lighting and a 68 dBA cab sound level are designed to improve productivity and reduce operator fatigue. Case IH expects to begin taking orders in June, with deliveries scheduled to start later in the year.
