Racine, Wisconsin - Case IH., a brand under CNH Industrial and an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has unveiled a groundbreaking new product, the RS1 high-speed steering system, aimed at transforming older Case IH machinery with the latest in precision farming technology. The company describes the RS1 as a “game-changer” for farmers looking to modernize their equipment without investing in entirely new machines.
The RS1 system, the most powerful of its kind in the industry, has been developed using the advanced precision agriculture technology expertise of Raven Industries, which Case IH acquired in 2021. Designed to enhance positioning, steering, and performance, RS1 brings automation and high-efficiency operation to legacy fleets.
Mr. Jeremy Duniam, Head of Precision Technology at Case IH, said, “We’ve brought Raven’s technological expertise in-house, which has enabled us to accelerate our delivery of automated solutions faster than if we had continued relying on third parties. RS1 helps modernize older fleets and opens the door to greater automation. With this system, customers can benefit from technologies like implement control and agronomic data sharing through our FieldOps platform.”
RS1 offers exceptional steering precision at both high and low speeds, allowing operators to cover more ground in less time. It includes a rooftop-mounted receiver and a 12-inch high-resolution touchscreen display, making it both intuitive and robust for varied farming applications, from raised bed horticulture to broadacre cereal production.
The system’s enhanced satellite connectivity also improves accuracy and reliability in the field, making it an ideal upgrade for farmers focused on improving productivity and operational speed.
Case IH dealers across Australia are now offering installation services and promotions for customers interested in the RS1.
