Noida – CNH Industrial N.V., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has previewed its first Made-in-India compact tractor, reinforcing India’s role as a hub for manufacturing, technology, and exports.
India is among CNH’s fastest-growing markets, and the company has outlined four priorities: expanding localized manufacturing for domestic and global markets, strengthening India as a global R&D hub, growing market share through localized products, and leveraging Indian engineering expertise for cost-efficient solutions.
CNH already exports to over 80 countries from India. Its Gurugram-based Technology Centre, employing more than 700 engineers, is set to become CNH’s largest global facility, featuring advanced simulators, VR/AR labs, and prototyping tools to support worldwide product development.
The company aims to double its tractor market share in India under the New Holland brand within five years, with a strong focus on the 30–50 HP segment tailored to local farming needs.
With three plants in Greater Noida, Pune, and Pithampur, CNH produces tractors, harvesters, balers, rakes, engines, compactors, loader backhoes, and excavators. Its nationwide dealer network ensures sales and service coverage across agriculture and construction equipment.
Mr. Gerrit Marx, CEO of CNH, said, “India is a cornerstone of the company’s global growth strategy, while Narinder Mittal, President and Managing Director, India, highlighted the company’s investments in manufacturing, technology, and sourcing under the government’s “Make in India” vision.”
CNH Industrial, listed on the NYSE, employs over 35,000 people globally, with brands including Case IH, New Holland Agriculture, Case and New Holland Construction Equipment, STEYR, Raven, Hemisphere, Flexi-Coil, Miller, and Eurocomach.
