Leinfelden-Echterdingen – Daimler Truck Holding AG., has announced the appointment of Yvonne Bettkober as a new Member of the Board of Management, effective October 1, 2026. She will take charge of Human Resources for the Daimler Truck Group and serve as Labor Director. Her initial term will run until September 30, 2029.

Bettkober joins Daimler Truck from Audi AG, where she most recently held the position of Chief Transformation Officer. She succeeds Jürgen Hartwig, who has overseen Human Resources at Daimler Truck since 2016 and has served as a Member of the Board of Management of Daimler Truck Holding AG since December 2021. Hartwig will leave the company at his own request at the end of November 2026, concluding a career of more than three decades with the organization.

Mr. Joe Kaeser, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Daimler Truck Holding AG, said Bettkober brings strong expertise in transformation and performance management. He noted that her previous leadership roles at Microsoft and Amazon Web Services provided her with extensive experience in process optimization, rapid organizational change, and guiding teams through transformation. Kaeser also expressed sincere appreciation for Hartwig’s long-standing contribution, highlighting his important role in building Daimler Truck into a strong standalone company.

Ms. Karin Rådström, President, CEO and Chair of the Board of Management of Daimler Truck Holding AG, said, Hartwig for his major role in shaping the company’s culture and steering the organization through its spin-off into an independent business. She said his people-focused leadership and calm approach during times of change had left a lasting impact across the company. At the same time, she welcomed Bettkober’s appointment, emphasizing that her global experience, strategic mindset, and execution capabilities will support Daimler Truck’s continued progress as it strives to become the world’s leading truck and bus company.

Michael Brecht, Deputy Chairman of the Supervisory Board and Chairman of the General Works Council of Daimler Truck, also thanked Hartwig for his long-standing cooperation and commitment to employees. He said Hartwig earned broad respect across the organization through his ability to listen and his efforts to make HR a strong partner to the workforce. Brecht added that Bettkober’s collaborative approach and commitment to working with employee representatives made a positive impression from the very first discussions, and that the company looks forward to working with her during this period of transformation.

Reflecting on his departure, Jürgen Hartwig said Daimler Truck had been his professional home and passion for more than 30 years. He described the last five years as the highlight of his career and said the end of 2026 would be the right time to ensure an orderly transition. Hartwig also congratulated Bettkober on her appointment, saying her background in organizational development and transformation across the global technology and automotive sectors makes her well suited for the role.

For her part, Yvonne Bettkober said transformation is ultimately about building adaptability within an organization. She said she is excited to join the Daimler Truck family and work alongside the Board and employees to advance the company’s strategy. In a fast-changing global environment, she added, ambitious goals require an organization that combines innovation, speed, performance orientation, and disciplined execution.
