Harelbeke, Belgium – Delvano NV., a sprayer manufacturer, has announced that the Volvo Penta TAD883 engine will become the standard power unit across its self-propelled Euro-Trac 6000 and 7000 models, marking a new phase in performance and reliability for the company’s premium sprayer range.

Mr. Robbe Desmet, Technical Lead at Delvano, said, “Volvo Penta offered the best combination of power, efficiency, and service, with extensive experience in our region and 24/7 support - something our customers rely on during the busiest spraying periods. With farmers operating within tight application windows, uptime and dependable service support are critical. Volvo Penta’s established dealer network was therefore a decisive factor.”

Delvano conducted a comprehensive review of available engine options before selecting Volvo Penta. The 8-liter, six-cylinder TAD883 delivers 235 kW (320 hp), providing a notable increase in power and improved torque over the previous 180-kW engine. The unit’s high-performance PTOs allow hydraulic pumps to be positioned closer to the machine’s center point, enabling more compact and service-friendly designs. This configuration brings the spray boom closer to the vehicle, enhancing stability and overall system efficiency.

Engines supplied from Volvo Penta’s facility will arrive installation-ready, complete with tubing, couplings, and hydraulic components. At Delvano’s site, pumps and tubing are assembled separately from the machine installation, following a streamlined engineering process that improves production consistency and simplifies future maintenance for customers and dealers.

The collaboration also includes the integration of Volvo Penta’s Active Monitoring telematics system, which transmits real-time engine data — including fuel consumption, service hours, and fault codes — via a telematics gateway. Both customers and local dealers receive automated monthly performance reports, allowing for proactive maintenance and reduced downtime.

With this partnership, Delvano strengthens its position in the European sprayer market by combining proven machine design with Volvo Penta’s engine expertise and digital connectivity solutions.
