Cologne/Berlin, Germany- Deutz AG., will showcase its latest sustainable drive technologies at InnoTrans in Berlin from September 24-27. This trade fair provides an ideal platform for presenting pioneering solutions under the theme "The Future of Mobility."

The highlight of the DEUTZ stand is the TCG 7.8 H2 hydrogen combustion engine, specially designed for the off-highway sector and recently certified by the German Federal Motor Transport Authority. Currently deployed in hydrogen generators supplied to China, this six-cylinder engine utilizes proven technology, operates quietly at 200 kW, and is suitable for various applications.

The recently introduced regional train from Stadler Rail, showcased at InnoTrans, is powered by the DEUTZ hydrogen engine. As a major rail vehicle manufacturer, Stadler is providing a climate-friendly alternative for non-electrified rail lines, which represent 38% of lines in Germany and 43% in Europe.

Dr. Ing. Markus Müller, Chief Sales and Technology Officer at DEUTZ AG, said, "We should not write off combustion technology, but rather continue to develop it in a climate-friendly way. The use of our hydrogen engine in rail vehicles shows once more that pure electrification is not the only solution, especially in the off-highway sector. Wherever a battery-electric drive isn’t suitable, we offer a feasible alternative with our hydrogen solutions. And together with our battery solutions, we are making a significant contribution to climate-friendly mobility.”

DEUTZ is also showcasing an innovative hydrogen fueling system, featuring flexible capacities from 4 to 80 kg and advanced Type 4 composite technology. Additionally, DEUTZ will present its high-performance, modular battery systems, which are scalable across various voltages and capacities. The E360 batteries, available in 41 kWh and 59 kWh, enable powerful electrification across diverse transportation applications.
