Hamburg, Germany - XCHG Limited, a provider of integrated electric vehicle (EV) charging solutions and hardware and EnBW have signed a long-term framework agreement to strengthen e-mobility infrastructure. The multi-year partnership focuses on deploying high-performance charging stations and jointly developing advanced hardware and software solutions, while supporting XCharge’s expansion in the German market.

Mr. Martin Roemheld, EnBW’s Chief Executive Officer responsible for e-mobility, said “Our aim is to create an even more reliable and convenient fast-charging experience for our customers that simply works on a daily basis, In XCharge, we are gaining a partner who meets our high-quality standards and will help us to make our fast-charging network even more secure and resilient.”

The partnership builds on a comprehensive testing program conducted over more than two years. Since December 2025, ten XCharge C7 ultra-fast chargers have been operating in a field trial across four EnBW locations, including EnBW City in Stuttgart, the A8 site in Rutesheim, the Durlach Center in Karlsruhe and Karlsruhe railway station. The chargers deliver up to 400 kW of power and have demonstrated high reliability across more than 20,000 charging sessions.

Ms. Albina Iljasov, Head of Europe at XCharge. Said “The partnership with the German market leader is an important milestone for us. The positive results from the field test confirm the reliability and performance of our charging stations. As part of the European charging infrastructure ecosystem, we are therefore particularly looking forward to working with EnBW so that we can continue to promote e-mobility.”

The framework agreement includes the procurement of hardware and software from XCharge, primarily focusing on charging stations with outputs of 400 kW or higher. Both companies will collaborate on the development of technical systems while leveraging each other’s expertise, and EnBW will receive exclusive access to the manufacturer’s latest innovations.

Through this partnership, EnBW aims to diversify its supplier base to strengthen resilience amid global uncertainties and evolving supply chains. The company plans to begin implementing new fast-charging parks equipped with XCharge technology in the coming weeks.

EnBW currently operates Germany’s largest fast-charging network through its EnBW HyperNet, with more than 8,000 fast-charging points, and aims to expand the network to up to 20,000 fast-charging points nationwide by 2030.

XCharge, headquartered in Hamburg and Austin, Texas, is a prominent player in the European charging infrastructure market. The company operates test centers and offices in Hamburg and Madrid and maintains teams across several European countries. To strengthen supply chain sustainability, XCharge plans to establish a production facility in Valencia that will manufacture charging stations for the European market.
