Central Plaza, Singapore- Ennovi Precision Technology (Singapore) Pte. Ltd., a provider of mobility electrification solutions, has introduced ENNOVI-SealTech, a breakthrough technology designed to prevent coolant leakage in hybrid and electric vehicle (xEV) drivetrain systems. The solution is tailored for use with busbars and other interconnects in components such as motors, inverters, and oil pump interfaces.
Busbar interfaces in electric vehicles often face the challenge of separating coolant-exposed areas from dry, electrically insulated connections.
Mr. Dominik Pawlik, Product Portfolio Director for Power Interconnects at ENNOVI, said, “Managing busbar interfaces in EVs where coolant is present on one side and a dry, electrically robust connection is needed on the other poses several challenges. Traditional methods like potting or rubber seals are costly, require secondary processing, and can fail over time. ENNOVI-SealTech overcomes these issues.”
ENNOVI-SealTech is available in two formats double-walled shrink tubes and specialized adhesive tape to meet a variety of demanding applications. Both methods eliminate the need for post-processing, improving production efficiency and offering greater design flexibility without compromising sealing performance.
To ensure reliability, every configuration undergoes rigorous testing, including thermal aging at 150°C for 1,000 hours and thermal shock cycling between -40°C and +150°C for 600 cycles, in line with the EN 60068-2 standard. Leak testing is also performed to confirm long-term sealing integrity.
The technology is adaptable to almost any busbar geometry and is compatible with a wide range of conductive and insulating materials, including copper (Cu), aluminum (Al), PA66, PBT, and PC. This makes ENNOVI-SealTech a versatile and robust solution for next-generation EV drivetrain systems.
