Faridabad - Escorts Kubota Limited., Agri Machinery Business Division has released its tractor sales figures for June 2025. The company sold a total of 11,498 tractors, registering a 2.2% year-on-year growth compared to 11,245 units sold in June 2024.
However, the domestic market witnessed a slight dip in demand. Escorts Kubota sold 10,997 tractors in India, down marginally by 0.1% from 11,011 units sold in the same month last year. In contrast, the company’s export performance remained robust, with tractor exports more than doubling to 501 units from 234 units in June 2024 - marking an impressive 114.1% increase.
The company attributed the positive overall trend to several encouraging macro-agricultural factors. These include the timely arrival of the southwest monsoon, improved Kharif crop sowing, and the Government’s announcement of higher Minimum Support Prices (MSPs), all of which have helped boost farmer sentiment.
Looking ahead, Escorts Kubota remains optimistic. With predictions of an above-normal monsoon, higher water reservoir levels, and an anticipated record Kharif harvest, the company expects an uptick in liquidity in rural markets, which could drive continued industry growth through the rest of the year.
In terms of cumulative performance for the first quarter of FY26 (April–June), the company sold 30,581 tractors, slightly up from 30,370 units in the same period last year—a modest increase of 0.7%.
Domestic sales for the quarter stood at 28,848 units, reflecting a 1.9% decline compared to 29,409 units sold in FY25. Meanwhile, export sales surged by 80.3%, with 1,733 tractors exported during Q1 FY26, as against 961 units in the previous fiscal year.
Escorts Kubota's performance showcases the shifting dynamics in the tractor market, where international demand continues to strengthen, even as domestic sales experience short-term fluctuations.
