Haryana - Escorts Kubota Limited (EKL)., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has introduced its new third-generation ride-on rice transplanters, the KA6 and KA8, engineered in Japan and designed to improve planting accuracy, productivity, and operator comfort in paddy fields.
The launch covers key paddy-growing states including Tamil Nadu, Punjab, Odisha, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, and Telangana, where demand for mechanized transplanting continues to grow.
Both models are powered by fuel-efficient Kubota engines—21 HP in the KA6 and 24 HP in the KA8. They feature a smart turning system, automatic lift function, horizontal control mechanism, and multifunction control lever to ensure smooth operation and consistent planting depth. Redesigned planting claws and an improved seedling picking guide deliver higher planting accuracy and uniform crop establishment.
Operator-focused enhancements include a wider platform, ergonomic layout, longer wheelbase, LED work lights, and lighter planting sections. These upgrades improve stability, reduce fatigue, and support longer working hours in wet and deep field conditions.
EKL states that the KA6 and KA8 have been built to address labor shortages, boost efficiency, and make rice transplanting faster, more uniform, and more profitable for farmers.
