USA- Furukawa Rock Drill USA, Inc.(FRD USA) a construction equipment manufacturer, has introduced the Fx800 Qtv as the successor to its Fx770 large-series breaker. This new 12,000-foot-pound-class breaker offers enhanced breaking performance while minimizing energy loss during operation.

The Fx800 Qtv is engineered for excavators ranging from 48.5 to 83 tons, making it ideal for rock breaking, quarrying, and large-scale demolition projects.

The new attachment includes an anti-blow feature for optimized striking efficiency, reducing wear and enhancing performance. A redesigned soundproof cover minimizes noise while allowing easier maintenance access, improving productivity and reducing downtime.

The Fx800 Qtv offers an adjustable blow rate of 250 to 330 blows per minute, with a hydraulic flow range of 66 to 90 gpm. It operates within a pressure range of 2,320 to 2,610 psi and maintains a noise level of 85 dB(A) at a distance of 17 meters.

The newly designed attachment features an improved hydraulic routing system that enhances impact per strike while maintaining the same pressure and flow as its predecessor, the Fx770. This optimization ensures greater efficiency without requiring additional hydraulic power.

Additionally, the engineered upper bushing surface plays a crucial role in maintaining precise alignment of the 7.48-inch-diameter working steel, allowing for more effective energy transfer during operation. This design not only maximizes impact force but also significantly enhances the durability of the front head, reducing wear and extending the breaker's operational lifespan.

According to FRD, the upgraded through-bolt design features a larger thread diameter for enhanced durability, reducing maintenance downtime. Additionally, the redesigned front head and front holder are built to better withstand abrasive materials.
