Tokyo, Japan – At the Japan Mobility Show, Honda put the spotlight on the future of two-wheeled mobility with the global debut of two exciting models: the EV Outlier Concept and the Honda e-MTB Prototype.
The EV Outlier Concept made its first public appearance, showcasing Honda’s vision of how electric motorcycles could look and feel from 2030 and beyond. Taking full advantage of the design freedom offered by electrification, the concept uses in-wheel motors in both the front and rear wheels, enabling a low, dynamic, and aggressively proportioned stance. The result is a striking, futuristic machine that hints at a new era of sporty electric motorcycles.
Sharing the stage, the Honda e-MTB Prototype received its world premiere ahead of a planned European launch in 2026. Developed to expand the joy of riding in nature, this electric mountain bike features a lightweight carbon fibre frame for responsive, agile handling and a premium look. Its electric assist system is tuned to provide extra support on uphill climbs, blending the excitement of motorcycle power with the playfulness of a mountain bike to deliver a new kind of off-road riding fun.
