Delhi- Kawasaki Motors Pvt. Ltd., has introduced the all-new Z1100 supernaked motorcycle in India, replacing the outgoing Z1000, the new model brings a larger engine, enhanced electronics, and refined mechanicals, strengthening Kawasaki’s presence in the litre-class naked motorcycle segment.
Staying true to Kawasaki’s iconic Sugomi design philosophy, the Z1100 carries forward its aggressive and muscular styling. The motorcycle features sharp twin-pod LED headlamps, a sculpted fuel tank, and a compact, upswept tail section that together give it a menacing, ready-to-pounce stance. While the overall visual identity remains familiar, the Z1100 focuses heavily on technological and performance upgrades.
A major highlight is the comprehensive electronics suite, managed through a new five-inch TFT instrument cluster. The system allows riders to access and customise a wide range of rider aids, including a five-axis IMU, three-level traction control, two selectable power modes, a bidirectional quickshifter, cruise control, and dual-channel ABS. The TFT display also supports Bluetooth smartphone connectivity, enabling navigation assistance, call notifications, and message alerts.
At the heart of the Z1100 is a 1,099cc, liquid-cooled inline-four engine, borrowed from the Ninja 1100SX. The motor produces 136bhp and 113Nm of torque, offering strong mid-range performance and top-end power. The motorcycle is built around the same aluminium frame as the sport-tourer, contributing to improved balance, rigidity, and overall ride stability.
Suspension duties are handled by fully adjustable Showa components, allowing riders to fine-tune the setup for different riding conditions. Braking is managed by Tokico calipers, while Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tyres provide enhanced grip and confident handling.
With its combination of aggressive styling, advanced electronics, and proven mechanicals, the Kawasaki Z1100 positions itself as a compelling option in the Indian litre-class naked motorcycle market. It goes head-to-head with rivals such as the Honda CB1000 Hornet SP, offering riders a powerful and technologically advanced supernaked experience.
