Klepp Stasjon, Norway - Kverneland Group., an agricultural machinery company, is set to expand its tillage machinery portfolio with the launch of an all-new range of fully-mounted shear bolt ploughs at LAMMA 2026. The latest B-series models promise increased strength, productivity and operational versatility for modern farming demands.

A key innovation is an upgraded leg and shear bolt protection system, engineered to withstand higher working forces. The new design offers breakaway resistance up to 5,000kg — a notable improvement compared with the 4,500kg capacity featured on the company’s previous shear bolt models.

The new lineup comprises the 2300B (3–5 furrows) and 3300B (4–6 furrows), along with larger 3400B and 3500B variants available in 5–7 furrow configurations. While the 2300B and 3300B are designed for in-furrow ploughing with tractors up to 250hp and 330hp respectively, the 3400B and 3500B models offer both on-land and in-furrow capability and are compatible with tractors up to 380hp. The flagship 3500B also arrives as an ISOBUS-enabled i-Plough version for enhanced precision and connectivity.

All models feature Variomat hydraulic furrow width adjustment, with 85cm or 100cm point-to-point clearances and 80cm under-beam clearance for improved trash flow.

Central to the new build is the Sharp Shear System, incorporating a solid leg design secured between two steel plates. A specially machined shear bolt with shallow grooves enables controlled breakage when encountering extreme forces, ensuring protection of key components.

Additional upgrades across the B-series include Kverneland’s four-way adjustable 4P skimmer assembly, a robust hydraulic rear depth wheel with a revised pivot mechanism, and the proven Trailer Transport System (TTS), enabling easy towing in transport mode.

Kverneland’s new B-series looks to deliver enhanced durability and operational efficiency, reinforcing the brand’s commitment to innovation in soil preparation technology.
