Mumbai - Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M)., an automobile manufacturer, it will supply 35,000 Scorpio Pik Up vehicles to Agrinas Pangan Nusantara, an Indonesian state-owned company, in 2026. The vehicles will be used for the KDKMP project, which is setting up village and local cooperatives across Indonesia.
Under the partnership, Mahindra and Agrinas will provide strong and reliable vehicles to help move fresh produce from farmers to cooperatives and then to marketplaces, making the supply chain smoother and reducing the gap between producers and consumers. The initiative also aims to strengthen village-level logistics and support local economic growth.
Mr. Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO – Automotive Division, Mahindra & Mahindra, said “The collaboration will build a dependable logistics network that connects farmers to markets more efficiently. He added that Scorpio Pik Ups are designed for tough conditions with low operating costs, and that this order will significantly boost Mahindra’s international business.”
The Scorpio Pik Ups will be manufactured at Mahindra’s Nashik plant and are known for durability, high payload capacity, and low running costs. They are suited for rural roads and farm tracks, and will support first-mile transport (from farms to cooperatives) as well as intra-village goods movement within the cooperative network.
