Utrecht, Netherlands - Mammoet Holding B.V., a heavy lifting specialist., has expanded its global fleet with the addition of two high-capacity Liebherr crawler cranes, the LR11350 and LR12500-1.0, to support growing demand in offshore wind projects.

The LR11350 offers a maximum lifting capacity of 1,350 tonnes and a hoist height of 220 metres, joining ten other Mammoet machines with capacities between 1,000 and 1,350 tonnes. Meanwhile, the LR12500-1.0, launched globally by Liebherr in 2022, boasts an impressive 2,500-tonne lifting capacity, a 200-metre hoist height, and a modular design for easier transport. It is second only to Liebherr’s 3,000-tonne LR13000, which is also part of Mammoet’s fleet.

Mr. Peter van Oostrom, Mammoet’s global projects and assets director, said, “To maintain the most modern and market-ready crane fleet in the world, it’s vital to invest in new machines from leading manufacturers. These cranes are expected to be in high demand, particularly for offshore wind projects.”

Mr. Christoph Kleiner, Liebherr managing director, said, “Mammoet has been a key partner for many years, providing valuable input into the development of new crane hardware. We are delighted to see two more Liebherr cranes join its world-class fleet.”

With this acquisition, Mammoet continues to strengthen its position as the owner of the largest heavy-lift equipment fleet worldwide, ready to tackle the increasing scale and complexity of renewable energy projects.
