Clermont-Ferrand, France- Michelin., has introduced the MICHELIN Anakee Adventure 2, a next-generation trail tyre designed to deliver everyday confidence on the road while keeping the freedom to head onto trails whenever riders want. Targeted at weekday commuters and weekend explorers, the tyre supports Michelin’s global strategy to strengthen its position in the rapidly growing “Trail” category, a segment that has shifted from being off-road focused to a lifestyle built around versatility, travel, emotion, and escape.
Built for mainly road use with capable off-road performance, the Anakee Adventure 2 is aimed at riders who want safety and comfort for daily riding without sacrificing spontaneous detours beyond the pavement. Michelin highlights stronger wet grip using new silica-based compounds, improved longevity claimed at +7% at the front and +21% at the rear versus the previous generation, and better comfort through reduced perceived noise for smoother, less tiring journeys. The tyre also carries an M+S marking and uses an optimized tread pattern for traction on loose surfaces.
To enhance stability and control across changing terrain, the tyre integrates key Michelin technologies including MICHELIN 2CT dual-compound construction for centre durability and shoulder grip, Reinforced Radial-X Evo and Aramid Shield for added stability and resistance, a new tread design balancing road smoothness with trail traction, and MICHELIN Premium Touch Design for a premium sidewall look.
The Anakee Adventure 2 is designed to fit many leading premium trail motorcycles such as the BMW GS series, Honda Africa Twin, Yamaha Ténéré, Ducati Multistrada, Triumph Tiger, KTM Super Adventure, Suzuki V-Strom, Aprilia Tuareg, Moto Guzzi V85, and Kawasaki Versys, and it completes Michelin’s trail lineup alongside Road 6 (100% road), Anakee Road (90/10), and Anakee Wild (50/50) as the brand’s 80/20 option. Michelin says the launch aligns with its growth plan toward 2030, built around stronger adventure branding, deeper community engagement, and expanded OEM partnerships, with worldwide availability from January 2026 through authorised dealers and distributor orders opened in late 2025 for the European season.
