Turin, Italy – New Holland., an agricultural machinery manufacturer, has highlighted the growing impact of its support to the Bugiri community in Uganda, one year after donating a TT 75 tractor through God in Action Uganda (GiAU), an orphanage and community relief organization.
Delivered in April 2025, the tractor has become far more than a farming machine, playing a key role in driving social, economic, and community development in the region. Sourced from Turkey, the tractor is being used on GiAU’s farm to help build a self-sustaining agricultural system that can provide long-term support for children and elders in need.
The farm is central to the organization’s vision of producing food for the community, generating income, and eventually building a permanent dormitory for the 109 children under its care. With improved farming efficiency, more land has been cultivated and more crops harvested, helping create a more secure and dignified future for the people of Bugiri.
The tractor has also supported farmers in the surrounding area, expanding its benefits beyond the organization and strengthening local agricultural resilience through shared community access.
Mr. Ozkan Eren, Business Director Middle East & Africa for New Holland, said, “The project has had a transformative effect and has helped make God in Action Uganda an ambassador for the New Holland brand in the Bugiri region.”
The initiative is part of CNH’s Sustainable Development Initiatives and reflects New Holland’s broader commitment to supporting fair, inclusive, and sustainable agriculture around the world. Through projects like this, the company aims to strengthen communities, improve livelihoods, and create lasting positive change.
