India- Omega Seiki Mobility Pvt. Ltd., has launched its first high-speed electric scooter, the OSM Vextra, marking the company’s entry into the personal mobility segment. The scooter is designed to provide practical, technology-driven electric mobility solutions for urban and semi-urban India.
The Vextra is powered by a 3-kW brushless DC hub motor and a 3.45 kWh LMFP battery with an IP67 rating, offering a top speed of 70 km/h and a real-world range of over 110 km per charge. It features three riding modes—Eco, City, and Sports—and a 3.5-inch color LCD display showing speed, battery status, and distance to empty. Additional features include USB charging, reverse parking assist, and optional GSM connectivity.
Mr. Dr. Uday Narang, Founder and Chairman of Omega Seiki Mobility, said, “the Vextra reflects the company’s focus on providing everyday electric mobility beyond metropolitan areas, targeting Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities. The scooter is capable of climbing gradients of up to 12 degrees and charges from 0 to 80% in four hours.”
Omega Seiki Mobility plans to distribute the Vextra through its network of over 200 dealerships across Tier I, II, and III cities in India, with future plans to export to African markets. The Faridabad manufacturing facility has an annual production capacity of 25,000 units, with further plans to introduce an electric motorcycle for the Middle East and African markets.
The launch comes as India’s electric two-wheeler market grows due to rising fuel costs, urban congestion, and government support for EV adoption. Gaurav Kumar, Vice President of Strategy and Operations, highlighted that the Vextra is designed for Indian urban mobility patterns, combining efficiency, comfort, and advanced technology, while leveraging the company’s experience in commercial electric vehicles.
