Delhi- Ducati India Private Limited., has launched the Panigale V4 Tricolore in India, a limited-edition model capped at 1,000 numbered units worldwide, with only a small allocation planned for the Indian market. The motorcycle is priced at ₹77 lakh (ex-showroom), and bookings are now open, though deliveries will be limited due to restricted availability.

Positioned as a collector-focused version of the Panigale V4, the Tricolore is the first in the lineage to pair its commemorative identity with track-oriented performance hardware. The model draws inspiration from the Ducati 750 F1 (1984) and continues the Tricolore tradition that began with the 851 Desmoquattro (1988).

The bike wears a new asymmetric Tricolore livery created by Aldo Drudi in collaboration with Centro Stile Ducati, blending the Italian flag colours with references to Ducati’s racing heritage. Visual highlights include a chequered-flag motif on the lower fairing and number ‘1’ plates on the front and side panels, similar to Ducati’s race-bred machines.

Built on the latest Panigale V4 platform, the Tricolore includes updates introduced with Ducati’s seventh-generation Superbikes, such as a revised chassis, updated aerodynamics, and new electronic technologies like the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) and Race eCBS.

A major talking point is the first-ever fitment of track-focused components on a Tricolore. It comes with five-spoke carbon-fibre wheels, trimming about 0.9 kg versus the forged wheels on the Panigale V4 S and reducing inertia by 12% at the front and 19% at the rear.

The motorcycle is also the first production bike globally to feature Ducati’s Front Brake Pro system. It uses twin Brembo T-Drive finned discs (338.5 mm x 6.2 mm) paired with Brembo Hypure calipers, supported by a Brembo MCS 19.21 master cylinder with remote lever adjustment. Ducati notes the system was evaluated during the 2024 Race of Champions and is derived from braking hardware used in the World Superbike Championship.

Standard equipment includes a dry clutch, billet aluminium adjustable footpegs, GPS module, Alcantara seat, racing windscreen, and a special ignition dashboard animation. Ducati also provides track-use accessories such as a billet aluminium racing fuel cap, carbon brake cooling ducts, an open carbon clutch cover, and a licence-plate removal kit—items not homologated for road use.

Each unit features a billet aluminium steering plate engraved with the model name and production number, plus a matching numbered ignition key. Owners also receive a certificate of authenticity, dedicated bike cover, and a custom storage box. Ducati is additionally offering a limited-edition jacket styled to match the motorcycle’s livery.

Power comes from the 1,103 cc Desmosedici Stradale engine producing 216 hp at 13,500 rpm and 90 ft-lb of torque at 11,250 rpm. The Tricolore uses Ducati Electronic Suspension (DES) 3.0 with Öhlins Smart EC 3.0, featuring an NPX-30 pressurised front fork and TTX36 rear shock. Wet weight (without fuel) is rated at 188 kg, around 3 kg lighter than the Panigale V4 S.

Ducati India Managing Director Bipul Chandra said the Panigale V4 Tricolore underlines Ducati’s strategy of offering exclusive limited-run models for customers who want a blend of rarity and performance.
