Date: January 12, 2024Munich, Germany- Siemens AG., a German multinational company, has completed the acquisition of Heliox Energy Limited., a technology in DC fast charging solutions, serving eBus and eTruck fleets and passenger vehicles.
Through the addition of products and solutions ranging from 40 kW to megawatt charging systems for depots and en-route charging, the acquisition expands Siemens' already extensive eMobility charging range. Siemens' market reach is also increased by Heliox's portfolio, mainly in North America and Europe, and its power electronics capabilities are enhanced. Siemens will be able to better service these markets thanks to Heliox's scalable, parallel charging technologies.

DC rapid charging options are considered to be the market category with the strongest growth here for fleets of eBus and eTrucks. With the acquisition of Heliox, Siemens eMobility is well-positioned to service our clients worldwide.
Heliox also provides charger monitoring and energy management services in addition to DC fast charging options. This boosts Siemens eMobility's digitization and software offerings while broadening its range of IoT products.
Customers of eBus and eTruck can benefit from a robust solution that is produced by combining the charging portfolios of the two firms. Siemens' infrastructure, worldwide sales network, and industrialization skills will help Heliox expand its production and satisfy growing client demand.
Siemens Smart Infrastructure includes Siemens eMobility. For a wide range of applications, it provides hardware, software, and services for Internet of Things-enabled AC and DC charging, ranging from 11 kW to 1 megawatt. Siemens purchased Heliox from a company controlled by a collection of workers and private investors as well as the private equity firm Waterland.
