Mumbai – Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Limited (TPEML)., an automobile manufacturer, has unveiled the updated version of its popular Punch.ev. The launch signals the brand’s commitment to driving the next phase of mass EV adoption in the country.

Engineered to make entry-level electric mobility more accessible, the new Punch.ev is designed to serve both as a first EV and a practical first family car. It directly addresses key barriers to EV ownership, cost, range anxiety, charging accessibility, and battery reliability, creating a well-rounded solution to support large-scale mainstream adoption.

Introduced at an attractive starting price of ₹9.69 lakh (ex-showroom, Mumbai), the Punch.ev brings electric ownership closer to on-road price parity with comparable ICE vehicles in the entry-level segment.

Mr. Shailesh Chandra, Managing Director of Tata Motors Passenger Vehicle Ltd. and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said “The new Punch.ev makes electric mobility genuinely accessible, practical, and stress-free for households across India. He highlighted that with a real-world driving range of around 355 km, fast-charging support, a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty, and an attractive price point, the vehicle effectively addresses the key concerns that have previously discouraged customers from choosing an entry-level EV as their primary car. By combining everyday usability with long-distance capability, the new Punch.ev represents a major step forward in expanding and democratizing electric mobility in the country.”
