Bangalore - Tata Hitachi., a a joint venture between Tata Motors and Hitachi Construction Machinery and a construction and mining equipment manufacturer, has introduced the TL 340H Prime, marking a significant milestone as India’s first CEV 5-compliant hydrostatic wheel loader in the 3-ton class. Combining advanced hydrostatic technology with next-generation design, this new machine sets new benchmarks for fuel efficiency, productivity, and operator safety.
Engineered for diverse applications such as construction, quarrying, material handling, and infrastructure projects, the TL 340H Prime is built to deliver best-in-class returns by reducing operating costs and ensuring long-term reliability, supported by Tata Hitachi’s robust nationwide dealer and service network.
At the core of the TL 340H Prime is a stepless hydrostatic powertrain that replaces the conventional torque converter, significantly reducing transmission losses. This advanced system delivers 10–15% fuel savings over traditional loaders, while providing higher breakout force for more efficient material handling and ensuring smooth acceleration and superior maneuverability. Additionally, features like hydraulic braking and an inching function help minimize brake wear and offer automotive-like control, making the machine highly effective in confined or precision work areas.
The TL 340H Prime’s heavy-duty steel frame, reinforced with thicker plates at critical stress points, ensures durability even in demanding environments.Power comes from a CEV 5-compliant Cummins 4-cylinder engine, which delivers low fuel consumption, reliable performance, and supports eco-friendly operations aligned with India’s sustainability goals. The machine’s variable displacement hydraulic pumps intelligently adapt flow to match workload, optimizing energy use across applications.
The TL 340H Prime is designed for safety and comfort, featuring FOPS/ROPS protection, fire hazard safeguards, and ergonomic double door access. Easier maintenance and longer consumable replacement intervals reduce downtime and costs. With fuel-saving modes, advanced hydraulics, and InSite 4G telematics for real-time monitoring, it boosts productivity. Backed by Tata Hitachi’s nationwide service network, the TL 340H Prime sets new standards in efficiency and reliability for Indian jobsites.
