      Tata Motors Showcases CV Models in South Africa

      Cape Town, South Africa- Tata Motors Limited., a commercial vehicle manufacturer, showcased a portfolio of 11 commercial vehicles at an event in Cape Town, South Africa, highlighting its engineering capabilities, product innovation and technology-led mobility solutions.

      The curated lineup covered multiple vehicle segments and powertrain options, including next-generation electric vehicles, modern buses, pickups, light-duty trucks and heavy-duty platforms. The showcase reflected Tata Motors’ focus on developing application-ready vehicles designed to improve productivity, increase uptime and reduce total cost of ownership across diverse international markets.

      A key highlight of the event was the all-new Ultra Prime RE, a rear-engine intracity bus designed for comfortable and efficient urban mobility. Tata Motors also presented the Azura range, its next-generation intermediate and light-duty truck lineup developed for regional and intercity haulage applications.

We have always focused on supporting growing businesses and communities—building lasting relationships through dependable, efficient and durable products.”

      Tata Motors has a strong presence across 29 countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, supported by regional partners including Tata International, Panafrique Motors, KOMCO Motors and Allied Motors. The company has sold more than 340,000 commercial vehicles in the region and currently offers over 60 models in multiple configurations.

      Its regional footprint is supported by a network of more than 320 touchpoints and seven assembly operations across Africa, including South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Senegal, Egypt, Morocco and Tunisia. These operations contribute to local manufacturing capability, employment generation and skill development.

      Electric Vehicles for Sustainable Operations

      Tata Motors showcased a strong electric vehicle lineup aimed at supporting cleaner and more efficient commercial transport operations.

      The Tata Ace Pro EV is a zero-emission electric mini-truck designed for last-mile deliveries, offering compact dimensions, easy drivability and low operating costs. The Tata Intra EV is a high-payload electric pickup developed for demanding urban cargo applications, combining dependable performance, extended range and improved earning potential.

      The Tata Ultra E.9 is a light electric truck designed for clean and quiet intracity logistics, while the Prima E28.K is a high-torque electric tipper built to support zero-emission mining and construction operations with strong endurance and faster turnaround cycles.

      The company also displayed its Intra V30 and Intra V70 pickup range. Both vehicles feature a crash-tested walkthrough cabin designed for driver comfort and fatigue-free operation. The Intra V30 offers a payload capacity of 1,300 kg, while the Intra V70 supports heavier applications with a 1,950 kg payload and a 10-ft load body.

      The Azura 1918 was also showcased as a next-generation intermediate and light-duty truck developed for urban, regional and intercity operations. It is engineered to deliver higher productivity, improved uptime, better driver comfort and strong lifecycle value.

      Tata Motors presented a range of bus solutions designed for staff transport, school mobility and intercity passenger movement.

      The Ultra Prime RE is a modern 10.8-metre midi bus powered by a 6.7L rear-mounted diesel engine, developed for high-duty urban and peri-urban applications. The LPO 1618 Magna is a 44-seater fully built AC bus suitable for staff and intercity travel, while the LP 909 Bus is a compact midi bus designed for school and staff transport within a 9.3-metre footprint.

      The LPO 1623 Nova, a premium 49-seater AC bus, was also showcased for longer intercity routes, offering enhanced ride comfort and reliable performance.
