Ranipet, Tamil Nadu - Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd (TMPV)., an automobile manufacturer, and its subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) have started operations at their new manufacturing facility in Panapakkam, Ranipet district, Tamil Nadu. The plant represents Phase 1 of a greenfield project that will build next-generation models, including EVs, for both TMPV and JLR. The first vehicle off the line is the locally manufactured Range Rover Evoque, known globally for its modern luxury and craftsmanship.
The facility was inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Thiru M.K. Stalin and Mr. N. Chandrasekaran, Chairman, Tata Sons & Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, in the presence of ministers, public representatives, senior officials, and Tata Group leadership.
Mr. M.K. Stalin, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu, said, “The Tata Group has been a key partner in India’s nation-building journey and shares a long-standing relationship with Tamil Nadu.
