Hinckley, UK – Triumph has expanded its 400cc lineup with the global unveiling of the Scrambler 400 XC, a rugged new variant based on the popular Scrambler 400 X platform. Designed for adventure-focused riders, the XC version features off-road enhancements, fresh styling, and premium components—while retaining the tried-and-tested TR-Series engine at its core.
Set to arrive at Triumph dealerships worldwide starting September 2025, the Scrambler 400 XC caters to those who want more capability and character from their A2-compliant middleweight scrambler.
Built for Rough Terrain
What sets the XC apart is its side-laced, wire-spoked aluminium wheels paired with tubeless Metzeler Karoo Street tyres—offering both durability and ease of maintenance. The bike also comes factory-fitted with handguards, engine bars, a high-mounted front mudguard, and a brushed aluminium sump guard, all of which contribute to its go-anywhere scrambler stance.
These features don’t just look the part—they give the XC better readiness for light off-road excursions, gravel tracks, and rugged commutes.
Familiar Engine, Upgraded Package
Powering the Scrambler 400 XC is the proven 398cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder TR-Series engine, producing 39.5 bhp at 8000 rpm and 37.5 Nm at 6500 rpm. It shares the same engine, frame, and geometry as the standard 400 X, but gains a higher-spec parts list that brings improved real-world durability and a more premium feel.
Suspension, braking, and rider aids (including switchable traction control and dual-channel ABS) are carried over from the base variant.
New Colours and Details
Triumph has given the Scrambler 400 XC a distinct visual identity. Three color options—Racing Yellow, Storm Grey, and Vanilla White—feature contrast detailing, tank badges, and a two-piece seat. It also gets gold-anodized USD forks, black powder-coated engine finishes, and a model-specific flyscreen for a refined yet rugged appeal.
Global Pricing and Availability
The Scrambler 400 XC will be priced from £6,545 in the UK, making it about £600 more expensive than the base 400 X. In Australia, it’s been listed at AUD 11,490 ride-away, and deliveries in European, North American, and Oceanian markets will begin by late Q3 2025.
