Bengaluru- Vaidyuthi Mobility Pvt Ltd., has launched the Gully100, a three-wheeled electric vehicle in India designed specifically for delivery drivers with only a two-wheeler licence. This breakthrough is made possible by recent regulatory changes that allow certain electric three-wheelers to be operated without a commercial LMV-3 licence.

The Gully100 targets a long-overlooked gap in urban logistics. While two-wheelers dominate small-load deliveries and auto-rickshaws handle heavier cargo, there’s been no optimal choice for the 50–400 kg load range a segment that makes up a significant portion of urban delivery demand. As a result, fleets either overload bikes or underutilise larger, costlier vehicles. The Gully100 aims to bridge this middle ground, delivering a practical, affordable, and licence-accessible solution.

The key advantage is driver accessibility. With the new licence rule, anyone with a standard two-wheeler licence can operate the Gully100 instantly widening the available driver pool. This solves a persistent challenge for logistics operators struggling to find drivers qualified for conventional cargo three-wheelers, while opening up fresh job opportunities for gig workers.

Powered by a dual-motor system for high torque and strong traction under load, the Gully100 also features an in-house adaptive suspension for rough city roads. The redesigned cabin offers best-in-class space and comfort, supporting long delivery shifts. A 120 km real-world range on a single charge ensures it can handle full-day operations.

Mr. Hari Vasudevan, Co-founder and CTO, Vaidyuthi Mobility. “This is one of the safest and most affordable electric three-wheelers we’ve ever built. We designed it around what India’s delivery workforce actually needs from terrain and load handling to comfort and driver accessibility.”

Safety is a major focus. The Gully100 introduces Tilt Guard to prevent rollovers, an active swing arm, and an electronic differential for improved stability and responsiveness. It also debuts the world’s first Breathe & Adapt air suspension, capable of adjusting in real time to potholes, shifting loads, and uneven terrain.

Available in cargo and passenger variants, the Gully100 is built for fleet integration, offering modular chassis options, diagnostics, app connectivity, and compatibility with different use cases without restrictive franchise systems. It qualifies for state and central EV incentives, further reducing acquisition costs.

For last-mile operators in e-commerce, FMCG, and kirana networks, the Gully100 promises lower delivery costs, fewer licensing constraints, and reduced maintenance, all while cutting emissions.

Mr. Raj Kumar, CEO, Vaidyuthi Mobility, “We’re not just building an EV We’re building a new category. Today’s delivery operations are stuck between vehicles that are too small or too big this is the right-sized third option.”
