VINFAST introduces the RIDEVU service for VF8 electric car

VinFast introduces RIDEVU by Sony, the world's first entertainment service for the VF8 electric car. With over 2,000 movies, it offers seamless streaming and control for passengers, ensuring a safe, innovative driving experience.

Los Angeles, USA, VinFast Auto announced the launch of Sony's new online entertainment service, RIDEVU, on its VF 8 electric car model in the U.S.

RIDEVU will be included as a complimentary service in the VF Connect Prime package. U.S. owners of the VF8 can access RIDEVU by registering for the service and updating their vehicle's software to version 9.6.1.11 over-the-air.

Sony Pictures Entertainment (SPE) developed the RIDEVU. It provides customers with access to a selection of over 2,000 movies. For one year, users can enjoy RIDEVU's library of regularly updated titles, with unlimited replays of up to 100 movies. Premium titles are also available through the app via credits, purchases, or rentals.

RIDEVU delivers a cutting-edge technology experience, enabling seamless synchronization and streaming across various screens, from in-car displays to external devices. With its Screen Manager feature, users have complete playback control on all connected screens, including convenient parental controls accessible from the vehicle's dashboard.

To ensure a safe in-car experience, drivers are limited to watching movies via the RIDEVU app on the central screen only when the vehicle is parked (during charging, camping, etc.). Passengers can enjoy movies on their mobile devices (smartphones, tablets) using the Screen Manager feature in the RIDEVU Companion app while the vehicle is in motion. RIDEVU is compatible with Android, iOS, Android TV, Apple TV, and Linux, enabling a seamless experience across a wide range of devices.
