National- Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. has officially announced the return of one of India’s most iconic motorcycles the RD 350, reimagined for 2025. First launched in the 1980s, the RD 350 built a cult following with its explosive performance and unmistakable presence. Now, the legend is back in a modern, cleaner, and more refined form, aimed at both nostalgic enthusiasts and new-age riders.

The 2025 Yamaha RD 350 retains its classic silhouette, including the round headlamp, sculpted fuel tank, flat seat, and twin exhausts, all reworked with a premium, modern touch. It now features LED lighting, a semi-digital instrument cluster, and alloy wheels styled to mimic spokes, giving the bike a perfect retro-modern blend. It will be available in striking color options such as Metallic Silver, Matte Black, Deep Blue, and Metallic Blue Stripes.

At its core is a brand-new 350cc twin-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine, compliant with BS6 Phase-2 norms. It produces around 42–45 bhp and 35 Nm of torque, paired with a 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch. This setup promises a 0–100 km/h time under 6 seconds — keeping the RD's spirit of performance alive while delivering better refinement and efficiency than ever before.

The new RD 350 is built on a diamond-type chassis for improved rigidity and balance. It features telescopic front forks and a monoshock rear setup, giving it the ability to handle both city roads and weekend twisties. Dual disc brakes with dual-channel ABS ensure confident stopping power. Yamaha has also added MRF radial tyres to give it a sporty edge in terms of grip and control.

Technology is another key upgrade. The RD 350 2025 comes equipped with Bluetooth-enabled semi-digital instrumentation, turn-by-turn navigation, ride telemetry, USB charging, ride modes, and even traction control. Riders get a mix of old-school charm and modern-day convenience, making it a very practical motorcycle for everyday use as well as long-distance rides.

Comfort and usability have also been kept in focus. The bike offers a relaxed yet slightly sporty riding position with a flat seat, neutral footpeg placement, and comfortable handlebars. It's been tuned to handle Indian road conditions better, with increased ground clearance and better suspension travel.

The Yamaha RD 350 2025 will compete with models like the Royal Enfield Interceptor 650 and the Honda CB350RS. However, with its twin-cylinder performance, nostalgic styling, and Yamaha’s reliability, the RD 350 offers a unique proposition in the midsize segment.

In essence, the Yamaha RD 350 2025 is not just a motorcycle it’s a revival of emotion, history, and raw motorcycling passion. For those who missed the original icon or those who once owned it, this is a second chance to experience what made the RD 350 a legend now safer, smarter, and more thrilling than ever.
